About me

Ever since my mother taught me how to pick up my first crochet hook at the young age of 9, I had no idea how much this simple craft would shape my life. For me, crochet became more than just a hobby; it was a lifeline. Growing up, I struggled with anxiety and often found it hard to manage my emotions. Learning to crochet through my mother's guidance brought a sense of calm, focus, and accomplishment that helped me work through those challenges. It became a tool not just for creating something beautiful, but also for nurturing my mental health in ways I never imagined. Because of this, I want to use crocheting as a way of helping others overcome similar issues they face in their lives. Be it loneliness, depression, anxiety or stress- crocheting can help it all.

Today, Crochet By Zahra is a reflection of this transformative journey. Our mission is to empower others to gain new skills while supporting their mental well-being. Whether you're looking for a creative outlet, a way to unwind, or you’re seeking a supportive community, our classes are designed to help you thrive. We believe in the power of crafting—not just to create, but to heal, connect, and grow. Together, we aim to help you discover the joy and therapeutic benefits of crochet, just as I did all those years ago.
